The Village of Lombard celebrates spring and the blooming of the 700 lilacs and 25,000 tulips in Lilacia Park with this annual festival. The festival includes concerts, an arts and crafts fair, botanical tours, a 5K, a parade, and a father-daughter dance. Entry to the park is always free, but some events charge admission.

May 14, 2 p.m.: Mother's Day Concert with The Four C Notes

May 15-19, all day: Drop in at the Helen Plum Public Library to make a wand to wave at the Lilac Parade

May 17, 9:30 a.m and 10 a.m..: Story time at Helen Plum Library

May 20, 8 a.m.: Lilac Mutt Strut 5K and 1 Mile Puppy Path
