Sprouts and Seedlings Family Gardening Class at Houston Botanic Garden
In the Sprouts & Seedlings family gardening series, budding gardeners of all ages can get their hands in the dirt and discover various aspects of gardening, including prepping, planting, and harvesting.
Each class in the Family Gardening series will include a lesson, hands-on practice in our children’s garden, and a craft to take home. In this session, Sprouts & Seedlings will focus on caring for your plants as they grow. We’ll practice watering and checking for pests and diseases, and we’ll talk about the importance of pollinators. Each child will also get to take home a pollinator-attracting plant!
10-10:45 a.m. – Sprouts (ages 3-6)
11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Seedlings (age 7 and older)
The non-member fee of $20 for the workshop includes general admission to the Garden. Members attend for free but must reserve space in advance, as well.
