Halloween is the name of the game in October, which means Long Island is alive with pumpkin patches, haunted houses, fall festivals, and of course trick-or-treating—so many opportunities to wear Halloween costumes!

As the crisp autumn air sneaks in more and more on Long Island, it's time to enjoy all the season has to offer. Festivals to check out include the Lynbrook Village Oktoberfest and the Fall Family Festival at North Hempstead Beach Park. Long Island's many Halloween celebrations include Halloween Fest in Riverhead and the Halloween Boat Burning at the Long Island Maritime Museum.
