Toys For Tots Drop-Off Locations 2022 On Long Island

1. Toys For Tots

The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys For Tots program might be one of the most recognizable organizations collecting new toys for less fortunate kids over the holidays. Now in its 75th year, residents can drop off new, unwrapped toys at one of the many pickup locations throughout Long Island. Most Toys For Tots 2022 sites have designated dates and times for drop-off, so check the website before you head out. 

2. John Theissen Children's Foundation 31st Annual Toy Drive – Wantagh

The John Theissen Children’s Foundation has collected over 1 million toys for sick and unprivileged kids. Residents can donate toys in Long Island at the organization’s headquarters in Wantagh or one of the many drop-off locations in Nassau and Suffolk counties. Monetary donations are also appreciated. 

3. Teddy Bear Motorcycle Run – Port Jefferson Station

If your family likes to ride, check out the Red Knights Motorcycle Club’s Teddy Bear Run on Sunday, November 20. Everyone participating is asked to bring a teddy bear for Brookhaven children in need. Don’t own a motorcycle? Non-riders can still donate. 

4. Islip Town Youth Bureau Toy Drive – Islip

The Islip Town Youth Bureau is collecting new unwrapped toys at two locations, their headquarters on Main Street in Islip and Supervisor Carpenter’s office in Town Hall. Donations are requested by December 17, so the bureau can give toys to local children.

5. Operation Santa 

Thousands of kids write letters to Santa each year, and in 1912, the U.S. Postal Service created a program to respond. Operation Santa answers letters from local children and allows people to fulfill their wishes. Long Islanders can review notes online and donate new toys to those in need. If your child wishes to write a letter to the North Pole, the Postal Service’s website has the address and details. All correspondence must be postmarked by December 12, 2022. 

6. Helping Hands Rescue Mission – Huntington Station

This Huntington Station-based organization hopes to provide toys for over 1,000 children this year. From November 28 to December 14, families can drop off donations of new unwrapped toys at their headquarters Monday through Friday from 10am-4pm and Saturdays from 9am-1pm. Kids in need will receive two toys at the mission's holiday parties. 

7. Family Service League's Project TOY

Family Service League’s Project Toy collects new unwrapped gifts for kids on Long Island. The agency hopes to provide for 3,000 children this year. Donations are accepted during November at their family centers in Bay Shore, Huntington, Mastic, and Riverhead.
