Join the Long Island Explorium for Elf Workshops this winter. Kids can make a gift and engage in some STEM learning along the way.

• Friday, November 25 - Hot Cocoa Mugs - Drop off your young scientists and let them learn about the layers of Long Island's freshwater aquifer system by building your own "Hot Cocoa Mix in a Mug" gift. 
• Saturday, December 3 - Salt Dough Ornaments - Get crafty with learning! Guests will love experimenting with mixtures, solutions, and reactions during this S.T.E.A.M. Workshop. Participants will create and design their own salt dough ornament to take home.
• Saturday, December 10 - Holiday Lip Balm - STEM looks good when you learn the chemistry behind creating lip balm and create a gift that will keep on giving all winter long!
• Saturday, December 17 - Snow Globes - Bring the cheer and expand your young child's science knowledge with this hands-on workshop. Participants will create their own stunning snow globe to take home and learn about viscosity, light refraction, and gravity.
