Stories and Sensory Exploration
10:30am–11:30am, 1:30pm–2:30pm, and 3:45pm–4:30pm
An interactive reading of the PJ Library book, Trees Make Good Pets, helps kids discover the many ways in which trees can become humans' best friends! Families also plant seeds that will grow into tasty vegetables in the summer.
Maple Tree Pinball
11:30am–12:15pm, 12:45pm–1:30pm, 2:45pm–3:30pm
Can you help a maple tree make sweet sap that turns into syrup? This physical obstacle course invites you to “step inside the tree” to discover how water moves up and through a tree’s trunk, branches, and leaves. Anyone who makes it to the end of the course will win the grand prize of a maple candy!
Tree Fruit Tasting
11am–12pm, 2pm–3pm
What better way to celebrate trees than a snack of fruit and nuts? Enjoy a bite of fruit, taste a crunchy nut, and offer some gratitude for the bounty trees offer.

A drop-in printmaking art workshop invites kids to create a design or pattern made with fruit.
