Learn about Thurgood Marshall, the first Black Supreme Court justice and lawyer in the Brown v. Board of Education court case (1954), and current Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, the first Black woman to be on the Supreme Court, at King Manor's Hands on History event.

Rufus King was a lawyer and has a collection of wooden gavels made from the trees in his yard. Kids are invited to design their own gavels and hold mock trials.
