Tavern on the Green's Sixth Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony
Tavern on the Green brings the holiday spirit to New York with its sixth annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony, featuring Tavern on the Green’s very own 20-foot Christmas tree, topped with more than 2,000 ornaments and 10,000 lights to light up New York City’s Upper West Side skyline.
Festivities also include performances from the Manhattan Holiday Carolers and DJ Tweed, and a special surprise Broadway performance. Tavern on the Green provides complimentary hot chocolate, hot cider, and treats for all who attend.
5:30-6pm – Complimentary apple cider, hot chocolate, soft drinks, and treats
6-6:30pm – Speeches
7pm – Tree Lighting
7-8pm – DJ Tweed, Holiday Carolers, and Broadway Performances
The iconic restaurant is also partnering with nonprofit organization West Side Campaign Against Hunger (WSCAH) to host a food drive to ensure all New Yorkers have access to food this holiday season. Attendees at the event can directly donate to the organization, which will be delivered directly to West Side Campaign Against Hunger.
