New Mini Golf Course Set to Debut on Governors Island This Weekend
Putt-putt lovers take note: A brand new, 18-hole mini golf course on Governors Island is set to debut Saturday, June 23, just in time for the Figment Art Festival this weekend.
Brought to life by the folks behind Adventures at Governors Island (which also introduced a zip line and climbing wall to Governors), the new miniature golf course is located on the island's western shore, with breathtaking views of the Statue of Liberty and New York Harbor beyond.

While this course is new, mini golf has long been an island mainstay; the organizers of the Figment Arts Festival have run a free course on the isle the past few years, but funding and staffing issues forced its closure, making the paid Adventures at Governors Island course the only option this season.

A round of mini golf runs $7 per person, though a family-friendly four-pack of tickets can be had for $25. Children under the age of 4 won't be given a putter, but if you have a preschooler, they can accompany you on the course.
Other Adventures at Governors Island attractions include a zip line, maze, and rock climbing wall. Combo tickets for all three attractions are $22, but mini golf is a separate charge. Worth noting: The zip line is currently closed and awaiting its relaunch for the season. A date has not yet been set.
Adventures at Governors Island attractions are generally open 11am-5pm on weekdays and 10am-6pm on weekends. Visit its Facebook page for details on schedule changes and attraction opening dates.
