Weekly Wrap Up: February Break Fun, Summer Camp Guide, Ringling Bros. Circus Ticket Giveaway
Is it just us, or is the lead up to the three-day weekend going really slowly? We can honestly say that we're looking forward to the holiday even more than our kids (who, let's face it, have more fun at school than we do at work... oh how I wish I could have recess).
Not that we didn't have any fun this week: We continued our focus on Jackson Heights with posts about great places to eat and play in the neighborhood. And in anticipation of next week's public school break, we rounded up the best things to do over midwinter recess.
Outside of NYC, our New Jersey site is giving away a family four-pack to Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey's brand-new circus spectacular Dragons, which is playing three tri-state area venues. Our Connecticut site rounded up the best indoor play spaces in Hartford County. And all of our sites have roundups of great activities to do over Presidents' Day weekend in case you do a day trip.

We started our week with a roundup of indoor and outdoor places to play in Jackson Heights, followed by a list of our favorite places to eat in the culinarily diverse neighborhood.
If you're looking to hit a few museums over February break, we highlighted six awesome winter exhibits for kids, two of which are already open.
Even though it's finally starting to feel like winter, summer will be here before you know it. That's why we launched our Summer Camp Guide, which features posts about all kinds of programs including day camps, sleepaway camps and new camp trends, like starter sleepaway camps for young kids and day camps where kids can customize their schedules.
Notable news this week included the opening of a new Upper West Side chocolate shop and a fascinating article about why the French make better parents than Americans.
Since this month is all about love, our February New York Public Library book list features stories about the special bond between parents and children.
And of course, we shared our ideas for what to do over school break. This Presidents' Day weekend, fun includes family-friendly Mardi Gras celebrations and George Washington birthday bashes. Next week, lots of museums are hosting special family programs and you can also catch kids' shows, visit an indoor water park and more.
