Best of May: 15 Top Things To Do in Philadelphia with Kids in May 2023

From Mother's Day to Memorial Day, we'll be finding fun things to do all month long—May the 4th be with you!
May in Philly means street fairs, waterfront happenings, and community festivals are filling up our calendar! Philadelphia Children's Festival kicks us off with creative play and performances for kids and kids at heart. The Delaware River Waterfront comes back to life just in time for Mother's Day, with BlueCross RiverRink Summerfest opening during the month's first full weekend. Finish out May with your first paddle of the season at Penn's Landing, which has added a four-seater flamingo and yellow duck to its fabulous fleet of boats. Most importantly, as we head into May, do not...repeat do not...forget Mom (and if that's you, don't forget yourself!); be sure to plan a magical Mother's Day in the City of (ahem) Motherly Love.
We’re adding more events to our family activity calendar every day, so don’t forget to check it frequently. Get our picks for every weekend in your inbox—sign up for our newsletters.
