Fall is upon us and Westchester is blooming with new facilities that cater to families and a slew of new class options for all ages. Even established facilities are sprouting up with novel course offerings. Not sure where to start? We've rounded up new clsses throughout Westchester, to help keep you in the know.

While some are traditional offerings like music and painting, we've also found an eclectic assortment including toy design, special-needs yoga and gaga. Several options are even tailored to infants as young as three weeks!

Weekend Fun for Westchester Families: Grandparents Day, American Gold Cup, Riverfest, Sep. 12-13

It may be back to the grind at work and school, but for family recreation in Westchester, the party is still on this weekend. For a FREE performance by a troupe that’s played at Carnegie Hall, catch the Calpulli Mexican Dance Company. Pixie lovers will delight in a Fairy Walk, while baseball fans can enjoy extra entertainment at Rockland Boulders Beach Day. Here’s hoping you’re staying in town this weekend, ’cause there’s plenty for families to do in Westchester and the Hudson Valley!

For one, it’s a great time to visit the New York Renaissance Faire, as there are perks for kids--including free admission! For an excellent excuse to get messy (think mud pit and pie tosses!), support a good cause at Muddy Puddles Mess Fest. More fun can be had at the South Salem Fire Department's Carnival, and evening entertainment includes an instrument petting zoo at the Kid's Night concert.
