Imagination Stage
Imagination Stage empowers all young people to discover their voice and identity through performing arts education and professional theatre.
Imagination Stage is a nationally-recognized theatre arts center respected for high quality, innovative programming for more than 42 years. The organization serves more than 100,000 children and family members annually through professional theatre and arts education experiences. Each year, it produces several professional theatre productions for children ages 1+ as well as hosting classes, camps, and workshops in acting, musical theatre, performance, dance, and filmmaking for ages 1-18. IStage provides an ideal setting for nurturing creativity, exploring the arts, being in a show, and making new friends and great memories.
Imagination Stage's professional productions are also available for field trips, groups, and birthday parties. The education department runs classes and camps at the theatre in Downtown Bethesda, at several satelite locations in the DMV, as well as educational residencies in schools throughout the region.
The newer Theatre for Change program explores complex social justice issues to help build a new generation of compassionate, collaborative children who are capable of changing the world. The program uses theatre productions and educational workshops to bridge cultural divides and lift up underrepresented voices,
