Watching the latest blockbuster on the big screen is always a popular birthday party idea. Pick a movie theater in a popular shopping area, such as Avalon or Halcyon, so teens can enjoy walking around the shops and restaurants before the show starts. Summer birthdays can try these free outdoor movies

Atlanta Hotels

Slumber parties remain a favorite teen birthday party option. Amp it up by hosting a sleepover at one of these spa resorts and hotels, where (responsible) teens can order room service, watch movies in the room, and enjoy pool and spa services.

After getting out of the water, serve food and birthday cake at Paces Mill Park before taking the shuttle back to Powers Island.

Zipline

Older kids and teens love challenges, and obstacle courses offer a great opportunity. Check out these ziplines and ropes courses sure to please all teens. Many of the indoor facilities offer adventures such as laser tag, bowling, and go-karting.

Concerts and Live Performances

Atlanta is a mecca of live music. City Springs offers free outdoor concerts through the summer, Fox Theatre presents Broadway shows, and Cobb Energy Performance Arts Centre hosts the Atlanta Ballet’s entire season line-up. Younger teens may prefer watching jousting matches at Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament.

Limo Ride

Don't let logistics deter you from hosting the perfect party. Hire a limo to let teens ride in style while transporting them between the house, restaurant, spa, or a specific birthday venue.
