MLK Weekend 2023 Things To Do in Houston: MLK Grande Parade, Chevron Houston Marathon, and More
Looking for the best things to do in Houston this MLK weekend? Here are some family-friendly events and activities to add to your list for this weekend.
The first long weekend of the year is here, which means it's time to honor the life of the legendary Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The Children's Museum of Houston is having a full “Dream Big” Wonderweek the week before Martin Luther King Jr. Day, to celebrate the life and legacy of this great hero, and Houston's annual MLK Grande Parade is happening downtown on Monday. These are two of our favorite ways to celebrate MLK Day with kids, so you definitely want to add those events to your calendar.
Also, this weekend is an exciting one for runners and running enthusiasts. The Annual Chevron Houston Marathon is taking over downtown, and everyone is invited to the party. All you need to do is grab your noisemakers and make some encouraging posters and get ready to cheer on all the dedicated runners to the finish line.
