Coastal Cleanup Day
Coastal Cleanup Day organizes in-person group cleanups at more than 35 coastal, inland, and river sites.
Volunteers pitch in at a variety of clean-up sites, removing the plastic bags, cigarette butts, and soda cans that sully our shores.
Though all ages are welcome, minors under the age of thirteen must be accompanied by an adult, and toddlers and babies must be with their parent at all times.
Go to Heal the Bay's website for more information, map of locations, and registration. Cleaning supplies are available at every site, but participants are encouraged to bring their own bucket, gloves, and a refillable water bottle to help reduce waste.
Heal the Bay is also encouraging self-guided beach and neighborhood cleanups all month long. Volunteers can do them anytime and anywhere to take part.
