Haute Dog Howl'oween Parade

Sun Oct 30, 2022
2:30pm PT
Age: All ages
Price: Free to watch
Location:
Marina Vista Park

The parade for animal charities features more than 500 dogs in colorful costumes, marching through the trendy Belmont Shore district. Even for folks who don't normally venture down Long Beach way, some of these canine costumes really are worth the drive. The Haute Dog Howl'oween Parade claims to be the "World's Largest Halloween Pet Event."

Those wanting to watch can bring a folding chair, or rent one of the 500 front-row seats in the park ($5-10), starting at about 1 pm. The seats sold out in previous years.

Costumed kids and adults without dogs (humans can register for free) lead the parade at 2:25 p.m., followed by the dogs at 2:30 p.m. Participants can register to be in the human costume parade and/or dog costume parade at the orange registration tent in the park after 12:30 p.m.

Dogs (or their owners) pay $10-$35 to participate and can win what they love best: pet food. Proceeds from the day's events benefit Haute Dogs and Community Action Team (CAT).

The vendor fair and pet adoption fair is in the park from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Spectators can find free street parking surrounding the park.

Rabies and vaccinations must be current. No puppies under 4 months or w/o vaccinations. All dogs must remain leashed. See site for additional regulations.
