Jack Skellington returns for his annual appearance at the El Capitan: how spooky is that!

The El Capitan adds ookie-spooky 4D effects to screenings. Plus, guests can enjoy specialty concession items, a prop display from the Disney archives, and themed photo ops.

Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas returns for its annual Halloween run at the El Capitan. The film screens in spine-tingling Disney Digital 4D.  Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King, decides to take Christmas for his own. First step: kidnap Santa!

The opening night fan event is hosted by Don Hahn, the film's producer.

The Opening Night Fan Event is October 14 at 7pm. Don Hahn discusses the legacy of Disney Animation/ Imagineering legend X Atencio with Atencio’s daughter, Tori Atencio McCullough and granddaughter Kelsey McCullough. (X Atencio is perhaps best known for writing the scripts and song lyrics of the Disney theme park attractions Pirates of the Caribbean and The Haunted Mansion.)

Each ticket for the opening night event includes one reserved seat, one 64oz popcorn tub, 20oz bottled beverage, and a souvenir credential. Tickets for this screening are $30 for all ages.

The Nightmare Before Christmas is rated PG for some scary images and has a runtime of 1 hour 15 minutes.

Parking rates at the Ovation Hollywood (formerly Hollywood & Highland) are $3 for up to four hours with validation from El Capitan Theatre.
