An internationally renowned performing arts school located in the cultural corridor of downtown Los Angeles, the Colburn School provides the highest quality music and dance education to students at all levels of development, from those about to embark on professional careers to students just beginning their artistic journey.

Dance Programs:
Led by a renowned faculty made up of some of the most exceptional former professional dancers in the industry, the Trudl Zipper Dance Institute at the Colburn School is dedicated to developing the individual gifts and talents of each of their students, from pre-school children to pre-professional dancers in the Dance Academy.

They provide world-class training for students of all abilities from ages 4 to adult, in:

• Ballet
• Tap
• Modern
• Jazz 

This is the only program in California and one of only eight dance programs nationwide accredited by the prestigious Accrediting Commission for Community and precollegiate Arts Schools (ACCPAS), meeting the high standards of the commission. 

Music and Drama Programs:

The Community School of Performing Arts is committed to making the highest quality music education available to all. Passionate, dedicated students of all ability and ages are invited to study with the world-class faculty. 

Early childhood music programs from ages 7 months–5 years introduce children to the wonders of the performing arts, and private lessons, group classes, and ensemble programs are available from age 5 through to adult, for all levels of experience.

The Colburn Community School of Performing Arts has been accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music since 1980 and is also a member of the National Guild for Community Arts Education.
