Each year, those of Vietnamese descent celebrate the coming lunar year with Tet Nguyen Dan. It celebrates the Lunar New Year, the beginning of spring, and a way to start fresh. 

In 2023, the UVSA Tết Festival theme is “Road to Our Homeland.” UVSA welcomes guests to celebrate the Year of the Cat.

The two-day festival at OC Fair & Event Center attracts over 50,000 guests and is the largest Tet Festival in the entire world. Highlights include a Vietnamese cultural village, live entertainment, the Miss Vietnam of Southern California pageant, festive games and rides, a variety of ethnically diverse foods, and a dazzling firecracker show celebrating the new year.
