Whether you're looking for a rainy-day activity or just want to bust a move, a multifaceted indoor action center offers loads of high-voltage fun. In addition to the many fantastic indoor play spaces in and around Westchester, we've rounded up our A-list of action centers where toddlers through teens can jump, bounce, climb, spin, and burn some energy (and calories).

Ready for more fun? Check out our Guide to Indoor Fun and Play Spaces for Westchester Kids, and look to our Event Calendar for tons of fun indoor happenings all year long.

Billy Beez – Nyack and Middletown

Among the biggest and most action-packed play spaces in the area, Billy Beez offers over 20,000 square feet of fun at each of its two locations in the Hudson Valley, both of which are open every day. (Times vary though, so be sure to check ahead of time—and admission also closes an hour before the scheduled closing time.) Both sites are situated within shopping malls (the Palisades Shopping Center in Nyack and the Galleria at Crystal Run in Middletown), making it easy to combine a visit here with shopping or dining. Both venues offer a soft-play toddler area, assorted play structures, sports courts, and a wild twist on a ball pit featuring air-propelled ball fountains. A cafe and other attractions are also featured. Geared toward ages 1 and up.

The Castle Fun Center – Chester

Especially well-suited for a mixed-age brood, The Castle Fun Center offers so much to do, so families can easily make a day of it. While away the hours with go karts, laser tag, mini golf, roller skating, ax-throwing, a laser maze, ziplining, a climbing wall, arcade games, amusement park-style rides, and more. Some attractions are seasonal and weather-dependent.

BounceU – Elmsford

Bop till you drop at this bouncy-castle heaven. Warehouse-size rooms contain enormous bouncy structures with complex designs like obstacle courses, inclines, and slides. Geared toward ages 2 and up. Note that while there is Open Bounce on weekday afternoons, you have to make a reservation on their website in advance.

Rockin' Jump – Yonkers and Mt. Kisco

Rockin’ Jump is a trampoline park that offers kids a chance to bounce, climb, and play. The locations in both Yonkers and Mt. Kisco have open jump times every day of the week. Prices vary for each location, but both let you book online in advance.

Sportime USA – Elmsford

Sportime USA has arcade games, laser tag, a rock-climbing wall, bumper cars, amusement rides, batting cages, and an indoor playground. (Some of the attractions, like the Kiddie Zone, have time restrictions.) It regularly offers kids’ drop-off days on holidays/school closures, too.

Legoland Discovery Center – Yonkers

While some of the attractions at Legoland are calm, there's plenty of romping to be done on Legoland's two-story play structure. The venue also features a 4D theater, a Lego factory tour, rides, a cafe, Lego Master exhibits, and, of course, building areas.

LIFE: The Place to Be – Ardsley

With 29,000 square feet of flexible event space, LIFE is large enough to house multiple event rooms and an arcade. On one side of it, there is a large soft-play area for children ages 9 and under, with a respectably sized play structure next to a play section full of toys. There's also a slim climbing wall. Open only on Saturdays and Sundays, for $12.50, up to three children can get an all-day pass to the soft play area, meaning they can play, leave for lunch, return and play again. Kids ages 6 and up can enjoy other activities, including the arcade ($10-$30), bowling ($5/game), laser tag ($5 per person), and rock climbing ($5 per person). Geared toward ages 1-15.

There are 2-hour open play windows every day of the week, along with special events, like Parents Night Out, offered.

Sky Zone Trampoline Park – New Rochelle

Visitors to Sky Zone Trampoline Park can purchase 90-minute tickets—or opt for the all-day pass—which provide full access to freestyle jumping, a foam area, dodgeball, ninja warrior course, and more. Little ones can play safely during jump times from 9–10:30 am on weekdays
