Ninja Warrior Gyms, Parkour, and Obstacle Courses in Westchester and the Hudson Valley
Are makeshift obstacle courses a common sight in your living room? If so, know that you're definitely not alone—and then consider taking your kids to one of the many obstacle courses, ninja warrior, and parkour gyms in the area. It’s a fun indoor activity for when the weather is either too cold or too hot for outdoor play, and it helps them get tons of energy out.
Almost all the programs and gyms featured here offer both classes and open gym time. Trial classes, camps, and birthday parties are possibilities at most as well.

Obstacle Courses in Westchester
1. Westchester Ninja Warriors – Elmsford
Find lots of great obstacles for kids to try—from rope climbs to a trapeze swing to mini trampolines—all designed to help kids develop skills like balance and endurance. Kids as young as 6 can start taking classes in the Lil’ Ninjas program, and other options, like camps, are available too. Don’t want to commit to a class? Consider the open gym time for kids on the weekends, which costs $25 for 1.5 hours.
2. The Grit Ninja – Pleasantville
There are lots of different options at this local chain, which also has locations on Long Island and in Connecticut and New Jersey too. The options include classes for kids as young as 2.5 and an Inclusive Ninja class on Sunday mornings. For kids 5 and up, there’s open gym time on the weekends to get a feel for what is on offer.

3. NinjaCats Obstacle Course – Yonkers
Opened in 2022, this program—which you’ll find at Equalize Fitness and Wellness—includes lots of obstacles (over 20!) with classes for kids starting at age 5. The program offers birthday parties as well as open gym times.
4. Kids U – Port Chester
Known for its cool play quad and fun gym classes, which start at the parent-and-me level, the Port Chester location of this venue offers Ninja Warrior classes for kids 3-8 years old. Expect lots of fun obstacles, including rings, balance beams, and monkey bars.
5. Roam Further Athletics – Mount Kisco
Start them early with the Little Roamers class at this Mount Kisco gym—which is inside Grand Prix New York—where babies from 10 months to 3 years old can try various “obstacles.” From there, there are lots of other Parkour-focused classes offered for older kids, as well as camps and private lessons. And in case you want to give it a go, there are adult classes as well!
6. Grand Prix New York – Mount Kisco
Do your kids want to do a Ninja Warrior course but they're not into taking a full-on class? The GPX Ninja Course, which takes up some 20,000 square feet of space and is for the 5-and-up crowd, is a great option. It's open every day except Monday and Tuesday, and it’ll run you $24 for a 90-minute session. And if you have multiple kids and one isn’t into the course, there are tons more things to do here, from go-kart racing to bowling.

7. Innate Movement Parkour – Kingston
This gym in Kingston offers both obstacle course and parkour training—some classes include both—for kids from age 5 through 15 (then they move on to the adult classes). Kids will work with certified parkour coaches. Rest easy if you're a parent worried about falls: The gym has “wall-to-wall carpet bonded foam mat flooring.”
8. The Castle Fun Center – Chester
For a bit of a different take, consider the Inflatapark at The Castle Fun Center, which features over 10,000 square feet of inflatables for jumping and playing. There’s a ninja wall and obstacle course, as well as slides and tons more. For an hour of play, it’s $14.95 and you’ll also have to snag specific socks at $3 per pair. And in case you’ve never been, there are lots more things to do at the Center, including checking out a zip line, climbing wall, roller skating, and an arcade.
