Halloween Weekend Things to Do in Atlanta with Kids: Trick-or-Treat, Boo at the Zoo, Free Festivals

Looking for the best things to do in Atlanta this Halloween weekend? Here are some Halloween events and activities to add to your list.
Families celebrate all-things monsters, candy and fall Halloween weekend with special events at our favorite Atlanta attractions. Zoo Atlanta puts on Boo at the Zoo for its final weekend! On Saturday Fernbank Museum throws a fun Dino Trick-or-Treat party, and Center for Puppetry Arts hosts its annual Monster Mash. Atlanta also offers lots of easy (and free) ways to trick-or-treat prior to Halloween on Monday night. Parents can take costumed kids to the Lawrenceville BooFest on Friday for candy collecting. On Saturday families take their pick between Trick-or-Treat at Avalon in Alpharetta for a Halloween scavenger hunt or Forsyth County's Halloween at Halcyon, where kids can pet animals and meet Encanto characters while trick-or-treating.
Be sure to check out our list of Fun Halloween Trunk-or-Treat Events because many of the big ones are happening this Halloween weekend in places like Doraville, Decatur and Kennesaw. Let our Atlanta Halloween Guide be your go-to when you need ideas like 10 Easy Halloween Treats for Kids (mmm, monster mash brownies) or the scoop on the Best Neighborhoods to Trick-or-Treat in Atlanta. From all of us at Mommy Poppins, have a fun, safe, and not-too-scary Halloween!
