Looking for New Year's Eve celebrations in Houston? There are several kid-friendly New Year's Eve celebrations in Houston that allow kids to ring in the New Year with their families in a safe, fun environment. Whether it's making a trip down to the Kemah Boardwalk to watch New Year's fireworks over the water or heading to the ever-popular Children's Museum of Houston for a kid-approved balloon drop and "Noon" Year countdown, you're sure to find a celebration to ring in the New Year with your little ones. And if a cough or sniffles has you housebound this New Year's Eve, the Story Pirates are throwing a free interactive celebration for kids online as well.

Looking for the best things to do in Houston this Christmas weekend? Here are some family-friendly events and activities to add to your list for this weekend.

Santa Claus is coming to H-Town! If you want to get some face time with the man in red this weekend in Houston, meet him for a Christmas Eve breakfast at the Downtown Aquarium, then have a jolly visit with him at the Children's Museum of Houston, or hang out with him at Santa’s Wonderland. 

If you feel like getting fancy, put on your festive attire and attend The Nutcracker at the Houston Ballet. Or if you prefer to stay cozy in pajamas, hop in the car and take a drive to see Christmas lights like the amazing displays in the River Oaks neighborhood.

Looking for the best things to do in Houston this weekend? Here are some family-friendly events and activities to add to your list for this weekend.

First and foremost, Happy Thanksgiving from the Mommy Poppins Houston team! We are so thankful for your readership and grateful we have the opportunity to serve you by finding all the coolest events and activities in Houston.

As always, the city of Houston is putting on its amazing Thanksgiving Day Parade. And if you have family in town, consider taking them to experience Cistern Illuminated, a custom, seasonal lighting experience in the Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern. It’s an event that is uniquely Houston! Or take the whole family to start their holiday shopping at Home for the Holidays at Old Town Spring. And for the younger crowd, both Peppa Pig Live and Baby Shark Live are in town this weekend.
